Inspiring stuff....I liked move 1. Meticulously planned
Ryan Barker2 日 前
On the second position, why cant the the bishop take the queen on b6?
Rafael Q.3 日 前
Funny how Rf6 would be easy to find if it were taking a knight. In the actual position, it takes some true inspiration.

0:52 why not take the knight with the king ?

@Lucas Matsuoka ah yes. Thank you

he showed why

the last one is the best, just simply stopping the pawn with the rook, beautiful!

1:38 Qd1 works too but not best
Dmell Branch12 日 前
why did he take the bishop with the king, why not the rook?
Josh Hebert13 日 前
Can someone help me on that first one. I am not good at Chess but it seems it would have been better to have your king take the knight instead of sacrificing your queen.

Be6 was 🔥🔥

4 was my favorite

he sounds like michael caine, christian bale. what area of accent is that
Kilian Kiel19 日 前
minute 1:30 -> Kings pawn e5 - e6 + would have been nice, too...

Why didn’t rook take f7 in the first move?
Chameleon Scheimongヶ月 前
If Kxf7, then after Ne6 at least he has the option of Kxe6, although that gets mated as we saw. If Rxf7 (or Kh8 for that matter) then the queen is just trapped after Ne6 - both b6 and c7 are covered. Short story - black is simply lost after Bxf7 no matter which move he plays.

what was that 0:16?
matija šlatヶ月 前
tbh, didnt understand first example
You didn't include the Qd7 against Robert Byrne, making Byrne resign when everyone thought Bobby was lost.

in last example the best move was clearly bobby's last move which is Ne2 why? imagine u have an unavoidable attack but u will just win 1 material that is the time because even i can find Rf6
Brian Caudellヶ月 前
In the first scenario, if Reshevsky played Rook F7, instead of King F7, it ends the chain of events leading to Fischer's CM? So basically Reshevsky screwed up.
abdurrahman nashitヶ月 前
He would play the same move knight e6 and the queen is trapped. The point was to take the pawn with check and then the knight would attack the queen. The queen can't escape
Pablo FURLANIヶ月 前
just one? Not possible. All of them are simply amazing. Fantastic
what is the ending song's name?
Leon Wooldridgeヶ月 前
My favourite Bobby Fischer move of all time is 7:45 "He simply plays Ne2" I've lost so many games by using too much brute force. For a mad axe man such as me Ne2 is cool positional play

on the first example why didnt bobby's opponent capture with the rook?

Is it me or those special effects were so annoying
I generally hate special effects but for me those were not annoying. I enjoyed the production

7:43 Couldn’t Bobby have played Rxh6? Bxh6, Qxh6 and I see no way of stopping Qh7#

Rxh6 then f5
Philip Berggren2 ヶ月 前
Move of the game in 4th should be Bg2 not Qxh7. The Qxh7 move was planned but it was the Bg2 that set it up.

first example was still theory in Bobbys time. He only repeated the line.......
@Andrew Gray You can read it in Fischer completted games from Christian M.Bijl. In his comments the game Bastrikow-Schamkowitshc UdSSR 1958 were recommented. He wrote also, that Schamkowirsch resigned after 11.Kne6! But in my database i only found a complet other moveorder of this game.....?!! very strange. In other sources also mentioned that Fischer knew already the game from shachmaty 64!

Great material and very inspiring, except for the 4th example: I guess you don't need to be as great as Fischer to see that Qxh7 is completely winning, even without calculating 1 move. Cheers
